What is a Sadhana Practice?
In Yoga, a Sadhana practice is a daily self-awareness and self-care routine to support overall vitality and to help cultivate a satvic (balanced) life. It is comprised of many yogic techniques to help practitioners build a personalized approach to whole body health and wellness.
“What is important is for you to become content. Again and again, be content. This is an art and this is what meditation is. True sadhana is to be calm, contented, and rested.” – Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Rise to Shine
In this 5 – week build your Sadhana practice we will begin by identifying our unique constitution (prakriti) and doshic type, and then identify imbalances (vikriti) within the body, mind, soul. From this we will build a practice and explore yogic techniques shown to support and help rebalance and support our doshic type. We will join virtually once per week for a full practice session and then these techniques will be applied at home as you start building your own daily practice. We‘ll check-in along the way to make sure everything is working well and make any adjustments as we need.
This is an opportunity for you to build your own personal daily practice. I will demonstrate many examples, options, and choices for you to explore and incorporate into a routine that works and serves your personal needs best. Some practices we will explore include asana (poses), pranayama (breath/energy work), meditation, mudra (gesture), and mantra (repeated, affirmation) and more.
